Cua Dai Beach is located at the end of Cua Dai street for 8 km along the coast. The main hub, with its many seafood restaurants and Small shop for bike rental, sun chair rentals, used to be the main draw. Now it is an unsightly construction zone with many of sand bags, metal sheet p iles, ropes and bamboo. Cua Dai beach has some big resorts, and it has big problem with beach erosion exacerbated here. Marble mountain vietnam
Marble Mountain

I hate the elevator in here because it to modern with this place – puzzling modern designed elevator running up the side. At the top, you are rewarded with the great view of the coastline of Danang City, and the opportunity to purchase and light incense sticks to place in the Buddhist sanctuaries.

Marble Mountain has many small hidden treasures, much more than the outside suggests. From small shrines and intimate caves to grand ancient halls where the sunshine beams through small crevices. The caves stay at a comfortable 19-220 C, so stay there, we can break from the summer.

Visiting Marble mountain in the early morning or evening offers relief from a heat; after 5h00 pm, they stop charging an entry fee and you can see the sunset from the top of the mountain. Remember to bring the flashlight for go down.

The highlight of discovering the caves, however, is the light streaming into the caverns through the air from the openings from above. Take advance of capture great pictures, this only happens between 10h00 am and 2h00 pm. Our recommendation is to visit here in the middle of the day and sweat it out as you can seek out one of the cool caverns for relief between trips out into the blazing sun.

The villages around the Marble Mountains are known as for their delicate carvings. And there are many bargains to be made at the numerous shops around the base of the mountains. The statues are carved by craftsman with rudimentary tools. It has many souvenir shops here and you can drop in to see and buy small things such as chicken, elephant, dog statue… A tip for you when shopping here is just to make sure you deal with the shop owners’ sometimes overly enthusiastic sales pitch.

motorbike hoi an rentalMotorbike is the most popular choice for young people when traveling in Da Nang. You also rent a scooter to go to Hoi An and explore all tourist sites en route such as My Khe Beach, Marble Mountain, Silk village, Tra Que village. If you don’t know the route, you also move on the same road with the yellow bus.

You can choose 2 options for this way:

  • If you are an experienced biker and have an international license who travels by motorbike, you consider rent a scooter and ride by yourself,  you can book online or book with the local travel agent.  It’s cost around 100.000 vnd/ Scooter,  120.000 vnd/ manual motorbike. If you drive long-distance or wanna explore the Ho Chi Minh trail, you must rent a tour leader, so he can help you to find good places to relax, find the gas station, good road to drive, furthermore, he will help when you have an accident en route.
  • If you can’t ride,  you can choose “xe ôm”, it’s mean when you sit behind the rider,  you have to hug the rider to safe.  🙂 “Xe” in Vietnamese means vehicle,  here is a motorbike,  “Ôm” means hug. If you chose this way to transfer between Da Nang and Hoi An, you have to pay 150.000 – 200.000 vnd. Almost all of Xe Ôm services, can not speak English or a little bit, you must deal with them before going somewhere. We also suggest book with a travel agent and request travel insurance, a good helmet for the worst case that can happen – the accident.

Moving by motorbike is a good idea on sunny. In Vietnam, it’s rain season from Oct to Dec, so we recommend choosing a transfer by car or bus to keep safe and keep dry.

Motorcycling is the best way to explore Viet Nam, but we certainly do not want to bad end, where the bodies of drunken boys and the wrecks of their scooter clog the roads. You must have an International license, which shows that you are qualified to operate a motorcycle in your homeland, and proper travel insurance, which guarantees that any damage the motorcycle does to other vehicles will be paid for and if necessary, the remains of the rider will be repatriated.

Hoi An ancient town located in the lower section T-junction of the Thu Bon River in the central coastal province of Quang Nam, about 30 km south of Da Nang city. It used to be known in the international market with many different names such as Lam Ap, Faifo, Hoai Pho.

As the only traditional Southeast Asian commercial port in Vietnam which was very rare in the world. Hoi An ancient town still preserves nearly all over 1,000 architectural relics such as streets, buildings, assembly halls, temples and pagodas, shrines, ancient wells and tombs… These architectures not only bear the traditional art features of Vietnam but also reflect the cultural exchange and integration between the Eastern and Western countries. Over many centuries, customs, habits, rituals, cultural activities and religious beliefs as well as traditional dishes have been preserved together with generations of the ancient town people. It also has an quiet and healthy natural environment with small and beautiful villages in the outskirts that boast crafts such as carpentry, bronze making, and ceramics…

Hoi An ancient townResearchers said most ancient buildings in Hoi An ancient town were rebuilt at the beginning of the 19th century, even if they might be constructed long time ago. The ancient architecture is shown most clearly in the Old Quarter located in Minh An Ward. It covers about 2 sq.km and gathers almost all famous relics. The streets are very short and leaning from north to south. The architectural works in the Old Quarter were built mostly with traditional materials such as brick and wood and have no more than two floors. Visitors are easy to see the traces of time not only in the architectural design of each building but also everywhere such as on the yin-yang roof tiles covered with moss and plants; the old gray mold walls; the pictures carved with a strange animal, or describing an ancient story… It must have attracted numerous talented artisans in carpentry, ceramics, and woodcarving from China, Japan, Vietnam and Cham Pa… Therefore, each remaining work still imprints diverse and plentiful cultures of many different nations.
