- Hoi An to Phong Nha by Bus
From Hoi An to Phong Nha by local bus, you can catch Nam Hà Bus. This bus starts from parking Area at opposite to Hoi An Theatre – 548 Hai Ba Trung Street, Hoi An at 9h00 in the morning. They will transfer to Da Nang Bus Station (Bến xe Trung tâm Đà Nẵng) for 2-3 hours before going to Phong Nha at 1:00 PM.
Easier, you can catch the yellow bus from Hoi An to Danang, about 30.000 vnd/ person to Danang bus station then catch a bus to Phong Nha. Next, from Da Nang, there is Hanh Luyen Bus which leaves Da Nang Bus Station at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. And keep your eye with luggage and chose the right bus, not follow anyone. Some people talk you that, their bus goes to the north and you can stop in Quang Binh. Remember, they can leave on the way AH1, in Quang Binh province, you have to catch a taxi or motorbike to go to Phong Nha.
If you are going from Hoi An to Phong Nha by open bus, there is Sinh café tourist – Camel Bus Travel departing for Phong Nha between 08:00 AM – 08:30 AM or 13h00 -13h30 from their office. It arrives into Hue city first, once there, you will be changed into a different bus and go to Hoi An.
You should choose the open bus, tourist bus… the staff can speak English, and they help you if having any trouble such as luggage, meal or water, and personal hygiene…
Other buses such as: Hung Thanh, Trekking, Minh Map bus… they only have a bus from Hue to Phong Nha, they not operate bus from Hoian to Phong Nha town
- Hoi An to Phong Nha by train
Don’t try to find the train station in Hoi An. You will need to transfer from Hoi An to Da Nang first if you would like to travel by train.

You have toured in Phong Nha, it starts around 7h-8h00 from Dong Hoi city? And find the train arrive in that time. Please don’t, we recommend arriving the day before your tour if you are taking the train from Da Nang. This ensures that you have a good night’s sleep, and are not arriving too early in the morning. Almost, train in VN is delay 45- 60 mins more.
From Dong Hoi, you will need to book an additional transfer to Phong Nha town by local taxi about 650.000 vnd/ way/ sedan

- Hoi An to Phong Nha by private car transfer
