If you’re planning to experience Da Nang New Year’s Eve 2026, the city is preparing a vibrant five-day festival filled with music, outdoor shows, and lively beachside events. I’ve joined New Year celebrations in Da Nang before, and the mix of fireworks, friendly crowds, and the coastal atmosphere always feels special.
This guide will walk you through what to expect and how to enjoy the celebration to the fullest.
Da Nang New Year’s Eve 2026: Full Schedule and What’s Happening

The Da Nang New Year Festival 2026 runs for five days. It starts on December 30, 2025, and ends on January 3, 2026. The city government organizes the festival, and the events cover the entire city, from the Dragon Bridge to the East Sea Park, Bach Dang Walking Street, Tam Thanh Beach Square, and An Hoi Sculpture Park.
What stands out the most?
- A big countdown concert at East Sea Park
- Lots of check-in spaces at beaches like Ha Khe, Cua Dai, An Bang
- Three large art shows: Harmonic Radiance, Hoi An – Welcome 2026, and The Endless Flow
- Street activities on Bach Dang Walking Street
- “Cheer Fest – Connecting Joy,” an energetic food and gift space at Dragon Bridge
When the opening ceremony takes place at the east end of Dragon Bridge, it signals the start of all activities. Street performers, dancers, art installations, and light shows appear everywhere. To me, Dragon Bridge always looks impressive at night, but during this festival, it becomes even more special.
Countdown Night at East Sea Park: Fireworks, Music, and Performances

If you ask me where to be on New Year’s Eve in Da Nang, the answer is simple: East Sea Park.
This is where the official countdown concert takes place, featuring famous artists, DJs, and a huge fireworks show at midnight. According to the schedule, the countdown concert takes place at East Sea Park, and the event hosts fireworks, live music, and dancing.
I’ve joined countdown nights here before, and the vibe is always wild – in a good way. People dance, cheer, and take photos together even if they’ve never met before. The sea breeze makes the night feel refreshing, and the sound system is usually strong enough to make you feel the beat even from far away.
What to expect:
- Fireworks above the East Sea
- A main stage with well-known performers
- DJ sets before and after midnight
- Huge crowds but a very joyful mood
If you like lively celebrations, this is the best spot.
Where to Celebrate: Best Places in Da Nang for New Year’s Eve 2026
1. Dragon Bridge (East and West Ends)

This is where the opening ceremony happens. You’ll see the largest light installations here, especially the “Welcome 2026” structures.
2. Bach Dang Walking Street

Bach Dang is one of my favorite areas during any festival. For this event, the street will host:
- New Year Dance 2026
- Creative New Year 2026
- The Connection Square
It’s a good spot if you want lively but not overwhelming crowds.
3. Tam Thanh Beach Square
The “Harmonic Radiance” art program is held here. The sound of waves makes the experience feel calming.
4. An Hoi Sculpture Park
This hosts “Hoi An – Welcome 2026” until after midnight. If you prefer something more charming and artistic, this is your place.
5. East Sea Park
Located on Vo Nguyen Giap St, Phuoc My ward, this is the main countdown area.
Even if you’re flexible, you won’t run out of places to celebrate.
Street Activities and Cultural Spaces During the Festival

Throughout the festival, street activities happen along Bach Dang Walking Street and the banks of the Han River. This is the heart of the event — a fun combination of music, movement, art, and performance.
Highlights include:
- Three themed streets
- Live dance crews
- Pop-up creative workshops
- Interactive “Connection Square”
And because the festival includes check-in installations at Ha Khe, Tam Thanh, Cua Dai, and An Bang beaches, you’ll have lots of pretty backgrounds for photos. I know travelers who visit just for the photos alone.

Culinary Experiences at Cheer Fest – Connecting Joy
If you’re like me, food is always the best part of any festival.
Cheer Fest – Connecting Joy runs from December 30 to January 3 at the park on the east side of Dragon Bridge. It features food, drinks, and Tet gift stalls, making it a fun spot to explore during the holiday.
You’ll find:
- Local snacks
- Grilled seafood
- Holiday sweets
- Tet-themed souvenirs
Everything feels colorful, energetic, and festive. I still remember last year’s Cheer Fest — I tried a grilled squid dish that tasted so good I still think about it today.
New Year’s Day Programs and Community Events
Early morning on January 1, the city hosts the New Dawn Race, which starts at Tien Son Sports Arena and finishes at Bach Dang Walking Street. Many locals join with their families. I once watched this race, and it’s full of bright energy — a fresh start to the year.
The tourism sector also greets first visitors at:
- Da Nang International Airport
- Da Nang Railway Station
- Tien Sa Port
- Hoi An Port
If you arrive early on January 1, you might be one of the lucky travelers receiving small gifts from the tourism department.
Attractions Joining the Celebration

One thing I like about Da Nang is how attractions join citywide festivals. For the 2026 New Year celebration, many well-known spots take part, such as:
- Sun World Ba Na Hills. Also check our top things to do in Bana Hills.
- VinWonders Nam Hoi An
- Hoi An Memories Island
- Than Tai Mountain Hot Springs
- Da Nang Mikazuki Resort
Each place prepares its own small events, decorations, or shows. If you plan a full-day visit, these are good choices.

Shopping, Promotions, and Holiday Deals
Shopping lovers will enjoy December 2025 because the city rolls out:
- Vietnam Grand Sale 2025
- Mega Sale Holiday Da Nang 2025
- “Trust in Vietnamese Goods – Made in Da Nang” exhibition
These events help you buy gifts and Tet items at better prices.
Travel Tips for Enjoying Da Nang New Year’s Eve in 2026
For smooth tips
As someone who explores Da Nang often, here are my personal travel notes:
- Stay near the Han River for easier access to Dragon Bridge and Bach Dang Walking Street.
- Use ride-hailing apps during countdown night because parking gets chaotic.
- Arrive early at East Sea Park if you want a good spot for the fireworks.
- Bring light clothing, as Da Nang weather can be breezy but not cold.
- Stay hydrated, especially if you spend the night moving across multiple locations.
If you want a smooth experience moving between festival zones, consider booking a private car service so you won’t stress about transportation.
How to get around
Traffic gets busy near midnight, so walking or using a bike taxi can save time. Also, the spaces between Dragon Bridge, East Sea Park, and Bach Dang Street are walkable.
If you’re traveling from Hue, it’s about 135 km, usually 2–3 hours by car. A comfortable option is booking a private transfer – you can check this route here: Hue to Da Nang by private car, or contact via WhatsApp at +84 93-4899-900.
If you’re coming from Hoi An, the trip to Da Nang takes around 45 minutes by car. You can also go by bus, taxi, motorbike, or private car depending on your budget and comfort level.
We hope this guide is helpful, and wish you a wonderful and memorable trip in Da Nang for the New Year celebration.
