Hotel Pickup in Da Nang or Hoi An

Meet your driver at your confirmed hotel pickup point. Set off northwards by private air-conditioned car. Departures from Hoi An involve a longer transfer than departures from Da Nang, so the confirmed departure and return times will differ.

Hai Van Pass, Lang Co Bay and Lap An Lagoon

Climb towards the Hai Van Pass, a spectacular mountain road between Da Nang and Hue. Stop at a suitable viewpoint for photographs of the coastline and green mountain slopes if conditions permit. Continue towards Lang Co Bay, where the sea, fishing communities and the calm waters of Lap An Lagoon offer a contrasting landscape. Scenic stops are part of the journey, not a race to tick off photographs.

Khai Dinh Tomb – Royal Architecture and Intricate Mosaics

In Hue, meet your local English-speaking guide for the historical sightseeing programme. Visit the tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh, the twelfth Nguyen emperor. Its ornate interior brings together Vietnamese and European influences, while the hillside setting and stone guardian figures create memorable views. Your guide explains the symbolism of its ceramic and glass mosaics and how the mausoleum differs from other royal tombs.

The return generally uses the direct road route to make the journey more comfortable.
