Phong Nha Cave is an amazing natural wonder located in Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park. It stretches over an impressive 7,730 meters long and features a stunning entrance that is approximately 20-25 meters wide, 10 meters high, and 83 meters deep. Inside, you’ll find a complex structure with 14 grottoes, numerous connecting branches, and even an underground river, which holds the title of being the largest in the world.
Phong Nha cave is divided into two parts: the dry caves, situated at an altitude of 200 meters, and the wet caves, which are home to the underground river.
Exploring Phong Nha Cave should be at the top of your list when exploring Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, where you’ll also find the magnificent Son Doong Cave, known as the World’s Biggest Cave.

In the morning:
- 6:30: Our staff will pick you up at your hotel in Hue city center (Phu Hoi District) to depart for the Phong Nha Cave tour.
- On the way, we will make stops at La Vang Church. La Vang Holy Land is a Catholic pilgrimage site in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam. It is known for its historical and religious significance as the place where the Virgin Mary appeared in 1798. The site features a church, grottoes, and statues dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
- Drive via Quang Tri Provine, our guide talks about Quang Tri Citadel (Non-stop). The citadel was built in 1824 and gained worldwide fame during the fierce 81-day battle. And give you some information about DMZ Quang Tri (Hien Luong bridge, Ben Hai River – 17th Parallel – Nonstop)
Noon: After 4 hours of driving, we arrive at Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and have a Vietnamese lunch at a Son Doong restaurant.
In the afternoon:
- 13:30 After lunch, we will take a boat along the Son River to Phong Nha Cave. You will be amazed by the magical and magnificent caves.
Phong Nha also features underground rivers, large caverns, passageways, and a pristine sandbank. The most impressive cave, Phong Nha Cave, is known for its fascinating rock formations with imaginative names such as The Lion, Fairy Caves, etc… Inside the cave, the stalactites and stalagmites create an illusory effect, shimmering when illuminated by the right light. You have time for walking in the cave and save this experience with nice pictures before back to the ticket course by boat
- 15:30 Return to Hue on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. If you have more time for vacation, you can choose to stay in Phong Nha if you prefer to visit Paradise Cave, Dark Cave, or En Cave…
- 19:30 – 20:00 We arrive in Hue City and our bus will drop you off at your hotel or meeting point, we finish the Phong Nha Cave Tour.
