Join a full-day Hue small group tour with an English-speaking guide, shared vehicle and Perfume River dragon boat. Visit Hue Imperial City, Thien Mu Pagoda, Dong Ba Market, royal tombs and Thuy Xuan Incense Village, with lunch and listed entrance tickets included.

Hue Small Group Tour is a full-day shared sightseeing experience for travelers who want a local guide, a clear itinerary and good value without booking a private tour. Travel with a small group in an air-conditioned vehicle, begin with a Perfume River dragon boat ride, and visit Hue’s best-known heritage sites with an English-speaking guide.
The day combines history, local life and food. You visit Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue Imperial City, Dong Ba Market, Khai Dinh Tomb, Minh Mang Tomb and Thuy Xuan Incense Village. Lunch and the listed monument entrance tickets are included, so you can focus on the experience rather than arranging each stop separately.
Your guide and driver collect guests from confirmed hotels in central Hue. Because this is a shared tour, pickup may take a little time while other travelers join the vehicle.
If your accommodation is outside the central pickup area, we can confirm a meeting point or an additional transfer arrangement before departure.
Start the day on the Perfume River with a traditional dragon boat ride toward Thien Mu Pagoda. It is a relaxed introduction to Hue and gives you a different view of the city before the walking visits begin.
Visit Hue’s famous riverside pagoda with your guide. Walk through the temple grounds, see the seven-storey Phuoc Duyen Tower and learn why this Buddhist site has become one of Hue’s best-known landmarks.
Continue to the former centre of the Nguyen Dynasty. Your guide leads the group through selected gates, courtyards, temples and palace areas while explaining how the royal city was organised and used.
This is one of the longest walking sections of the day, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
Stop at Dong Ba Market for a look at everyday local life. The market is busy, colourful and practical rather than staged for tourists. Browse food stalls, household goods and local products with time for photos or small purchases if you wish.
Take a break for an included lunch with Hue-style dishes. This is also a chance to rest and talk with other travelers before the afternoon visits.
Please tell us about vegetarian, vegan, allergy or other dietary requirements before the tour so the restaurant can prepare appropriately.
A short herbal foot bath experience is also included and is arranged around the lunch stop according to the day’s operating schedule.
After lunch, visit the compact hillside mausoleum of Emperor Khai Dinh. The approach includes a substantial staircase, while the interior is known for detailed decoration and a striking mix of Vietnamese and European influences.
Continue to Minh Mang Tomb, where architecture, water, gardens and pine-covered hills are arranged with strong symmetry. The site feels more spacious and traditional than Khai Dinh Tomb, giving you a useful contrast between two Nguyen Dynasty mausoleums.
Finish with a short stop at Thuy Xuan, known for colourful incense displays and local craft shops. Take photos, see how incense is prepared and browse local products if you wish. Purchases are optional.
The shared vehicle returns guests to the central Hue pickup area. The exact finishing time can vary with traffic, group pace and conditions at the monuments.
This tour costs 1.150.000 VND (~45 USD) per person.
