My Son Sanctuary is a cluster of Hindu abandoned and partially ruined temples constructed between the 4th and 14th centuries. Dedicated to the god Shiva, it served as the religious and political capital of the Champa Kingdom. The Mystery of Bricks: The most fascinating aspect is the red brick construction. The Cham people used a secret technique to bond the bricks so tightly that even after 1,000 years, you can barely see the mortar.

• 08:00 (recommend) Hotel Pick-up: We head out from Hoi An through scenic countryside roads and rice paddies.
  We travel about 50 km from Hoi An to My Son sanctuary. It comprises many Champa temples, in a valley roughly two kilometers wide, surrounded by two mountain ranges. 
  The My Son temple complex is one of the foremost temple complexes of Hinduism in South East Asia and is the foremost heritage site of this nature in Vietnam. Though the complex has been destroyed over time, we still see many majestic ancient ruins of temples in the area. 
  
• 09:00 Arrival & Buggy Ride: After entering the gate, a short electric buggy ride takes you deeper into the jungle toward the temple clusters.
